In one of the most improbable feats in modern sports a rag tag team of amateur college kids came together in February of 1980 to take Olympic glory in Lake Placid, New York. Cornered by a ‘Miracle’ victory against the Soviets in the medal-round, the scrappy US squad went on to capture the goal medal days later in a slugfest against Finland.
